Bug Fixes, Plans, and Gratitude


Hello all! First and foremost, I wanted to say thanks to everyone who played my first proper lil game (and especially those of you who followed and would therefore be seeing this devlog)! It’s been a sincere delight to see that this game spoke to the people I was hoping it would, and to hear from everyone who’s shared their thoughts about it. It makes my dream of making games feel a little more real. So yeah, thanks!

Second (and secondmost?), I thought I might as well list some minor bug fixes—since this is a devlog, after all.

  • Taylor’s name no longer shows up as Felix half the time (oops)
  • Lore-related text is no longer editable by the player (except in the editable versions, in which case everything is editable haha)
  • Playing UntitledStory.exe no longer triggers story events! UntitledStory is basically just an easter egg (it’s the mostly complete version of a Twine game I made to process a breakup), and I just used it as a story event trigger for debugging reasons but forgot to remove that before posting

Finally, just wanted to share some plans with y’all! I think I will come back and expand this game in the near future since so many people seemed to resonate with it (and since it explores concepts I’m still grappling with), but for now I’m probably gonna noodle with other ideas! I made most of this game in an all-nighter fugue state and am a little burnt out on it haha. But yeah, basically

(Hopefully before then I will get some kind of tablet so I can stop drawing with a mouse lol)
